Only a few Miller family photos have been added thus far. Pete and Dora Miller were both born in Russia, met and married in Longmont, Colorado, and lived much of their lives in Whitney, Nebraska.
Shirley Derrick. A pretty young girl; she and neighborhood friend Sandy Rankin drowned at Whitney Lake in June 1949. She was just eight years old.
Lettie, John and Linetha Miller. This was taken at 450 Ann Street in Chadron. That's one of Ryan's Cabins (rental units) in the background. Note the lawnmower at the bottom right -- with not much grass to be seen! Probably taken in about 1947.
Alex & Mildred Miller. I believe this might have been an anniversary photograph, perhaps the 45th, but I'm not certain.
Richard Derrick, USMC. Dick's tenure as a Marine was not long, once the Marine Corps determined that he was not old enough to serve.
Fred Miller, U.S. Army Air Force. Among other assignments, Fred was stationed at Lincoln, Nebraska.
Jan Miller, the son of Fannie Miller, was a paratrooper. Once Jan left Whitney, he never returned to Nebraska to live. He raised a fine family in Eddyville, Kentucky.
Charlene Miller and her mother, Mildred, taken at Mildred's Lusk, Wyoming home in July of 2000.
Charlie Bob and Wayne Miller, two of Fred and Charlotte Miller's sons. Undated. No location listed.
