Grandpa Pete Miller's older sister Eva married Pete Behm. These are a couple of our favorite Behm relatives, Bob and Gayle Behm, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Gayle has long been involved in genealogy and has the most comprehensive data on the Behm family.

The Pete and Dora Miller family may have lived in other Chicago locations, but aunt Marie (Miller) Derrick said that this house at 4504 N. Kasson Avenue is the one place she remembered. This photograph was taken in October 1978. Four of the Miller children were born in Chicago: Alex, Henry, Caroline and John.

Marie (Miller) Derrick said this picture of Miller children was taken in Chicago, probably in 1916. It's the only known photograph of Caroline Miller, who is seated. Marie is standing at left. The two boys are Alex (rear) and Henry (front). Caroline died in Scottsbluff, Nebraska when she was just seven years old.

This undated photograph was taken in Chadron, Nebraska, probably around 1982. Hank Miller -- in front -- died in March 1984. Standing left-to-right are: Albert Miller, John Miller, and Marie (Miller) Derrick.

Taken on the day of Mildred Miller's funeral -- January 19, 2007 in Lusk, Wyoming. These are the children of Alex and Mildred Miller. Left-to-right are: Charlene Miller, Connie Merchen, Jeanette Gleed, Jerry Miller and Bruce Miller.

The last surviving child of Pete and Dora Miller passed away in 2007. Pauline Miller (pictured here at age 16) was born in Whitney, Nebraska in 1927 and moved to Houston when she was a teenager. Pauline married Olen Pollock, with whom she had four children: Mike, Sharon, Linda, and Paulette. The family made their home in Vidor, Texas. Later in life, Pauline married Mitchell Murray. She remained in Vidor to be near her children after Mitch's death in 1997. Pauline Pollock Murray passed away June 8, 2007 at the age of 79. Taken in about 1954 in the dining room of John and Lettie Miller's at 450 Ann Street in Chadron, Linetha Miller stands guard at the bedroom door of brothers Johnny and Larry. Contrary to what you might think, this is NOT a Halloween picture! (But that is a nice broom.)

Note the beautiful designer lineoleum! That's likely an American Legion baseball uniform belonging to Johnny hanging on the door at right.
