We were delighted when we were contacted in late 2008 by Chuck Leypoldt, whose father -- Woodrow Leypoldt -- was a pastor in Whitney and Crawford from 1953 to 1956. Shown here is the Leypoldt family in 1954 at Chadron State Park. Included in the picture with the elder Leypoldt are children Janice, Charles, Gary, Douglas and Catherine. Interestingly, another member of the Leypoldt family is now pastoring in Dawes County! Seth Leypoldt, Chuck's son, is at the United Methodist Church in Chadron, and we've heard good things about his work.
