An early donor!
Thank you! By the time the food was tallied later on Sunday, September 18, 2011, we counted more that 1,008 pounds! Thanks to the leadership of Countryside Church -- and especially to all the wonderful people of Countryside -- for their unending generosity. As the number of needy families in our community continues to grow, it's heartwarming to know that the good people of this area are stepping up to help. May God bless you. And it was a beautiful day, too.
Creative Arts Director Christina Fuhr reminded folks that even if they forgot that this was the "Truckin' for the Food Pantry" weekend, the pickups would be out front all morning -- allowing folks time to visit a grocery store and return with their donation. And it worked. We saw many folks return with their generous donations.
